READ ME, YOU NEED THIS
Starting over a year ago, owners started to complain about damage to the lower leading edge of the
rear fender.
As it turns out this damage is the result of the lower door panel being misaligned with the fender.
This allowed road debris to strike and damage this edge. Go out and take a close look, you also have this damage or
soon will.
In the last few months GM recognized this problem and started adding this ugly rubber bumper to
the bottom of the fender.
Its sole purpose is to align the bottom of the door and prevent this damage. Great news for
the recent 2006 owners, but what about us, over 50,000 of us? You could order some from GM, only to end up with this ugly
gray rubber sticking off your fender.
I like to think I have a better mouse trap. Using the same dimensions as the GM solution,
I have a self stick bumper that is attached to the lower bottom inside door where it not noticed. It's clear and works
with any paint. Designed from automotive grade polyurethane to maintain shape and sticks -40 F - 300 F in any weather
condition. Will not mar the finish and is mounted to strike the bottom screw in the fender. Best yet, it works.
You can order a set and save your car only $8.00 for three (one spare) + $2.00 shipping.
